Eagle Cam

It is snowing on the eagles!!  They have three eggs.  There is a mom and a dad.  The mom is bigger than the dad.  They are in Iowa and we watch them all day.  The eggs should hatch around the first day of spring.  Yipee!

Dr. Seuss' birthday is on Friday, March 2nd.  He is now an angel but he wrote great books.  We have been reading his books for days and will continue all week!

Here are our first Fairy Houses of 2012!

The Sand Skiff

This is the ship from Mimi, Grandpa, Auntie Amber and Uncle Andy.  It is in movie 6, Return of the Jedi.  This is called the sand skiff.  It even blows up Jabba's Sandbarge.  Actually it didn't just blow up, it fell into a hole.  Boba Fett popped out and then popped back in.  One of the story tellers on the LEGO Website said, "Except for that Guy".

A Story By Me

Z wrote this story when he was 4 1/2 but it took us almost a year to "publish it".  The first page is here and you can catch the rest by clicking here.  This book was based on the Magic Tree House books by Mary Pope Osborne.  We have shared 29 of the Magic Tree House books with Z and loves them so much.

Chapter 1--Halloween



Once in Frog Creek Woods, where the magic tree house was.  Annie asked Jack if they could go in the Magic Tree House.

“Come on, let’s get into the tree house, Morgan is waiting for us” Annie said.

Then Morgan handed out a book to Jack, it was called the First Halloween Night. 

Then they looked inside and found a picture with skeletons.

“I wish we could go there.”

The wind started to blow, the tree house started to spin, everything went faster and faster and faster.

Then everything was still.

Absolutely still.
